We are a biblical, evangelical and apostolic Church for the proclamation of the Gospel of salvation, through faith in Jesus Christ, to people of all cultures, races and languages (Matthew 28:18-20, Ephesians 2:8-9). Founded on October 5, 2008 in Sherbrooke (Quebec, Canada) in the Estrie region after an open vision received from God by Pastor Mathieu Baga.
Our main church is located in the city of Sherbrooke (Quebec, Canada) and is called Église Biblique du Conseil Elhey Yisrael (Biblical Counsel Church Elohey Yisrael).
We operate through four main areas: apostolate which involves planting and managing church networks, evangelism which consists of preaching the Good News of the Kingdom of God, training through biblical teaching and leadership, fellowship, and helping relationships. We strongly encourage service to God, and the Rehoboth Mission provides a space for men and women to get involved in the Lord's work.
We organized a water baptism ceremony by immersion on Sunday, August 17, starting at 8:00 a.m. at Parc de la Plage-Municipale in Sherbrooke, located at 790 Avenue du Parc, Sherbrooke, Quebec. Several brothers and sisters publicly confessed their commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ. The ceremony was followed by the testimonies of the baptized and a celebration.
From October 11 to 13, 2024, we organized a women's conference with speakers Pastor Lydie Baga and Pastor Nadine Kabuya. The event included a night of praise, powerful sermons, and a joyful celebration with a communal meal. Pastor Lydie exhorted us to respond to the Lord's call for the salvation of souls. Pastor Nadine encouraged us to commit wholeheartedly to serving God in various ways: through prayer, tangible support, serving others, wise counsel, and most importantly, by fully giving ourselves to God.
On Saturday, September 14, 2024, we held a water baptism by immersion at Parc de la Plage-Municipale in Sherbrooke (790 Avenue du Parc). In total, eleven brothers and sisters publicly testified to their belonging to the Lord Jesus by being baptized. A celebration with exhortation, rejoicing, and a fellowship snack followed at the church.
Genesis 26:22 « And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the Lord hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land. »
